Surrealist paintings inspired by the Mediterranean and Japan
Classic Boat in Graphic Design Style
Art exhibition

The artistic career of Iris Devote Littardi began over thirty-five years ago as a graphic designer. A few years later, she fulfilled her dream by moving to Florence, where she studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts.
Even while living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, the blue of the Mediterranean Sea has always remained deeply rooted in her heart and her paintings, becoming a defining element of her artistic identity.
A surrealist artist, Iris Devote Littardi has always remained faithful to her artistic vision, while allowing her technique to evolve over time. In the early years of her career, her approach was essentially expressionist, characterized by the use of thick oil paint on canvas.
Today, after a long journey filled with experiences, travels, over two hundred artworks, and numerous exhibitions, she feels particularly close to the Japanese spirit and aesthetic, especially following an unforgettable stay in Kyoto.
Using her graphic writing applied to traditional painting, she worked on this exhibition over the past five years in her studio overlooking the harbor of Menton, in the south of France.
The concept behind Classic Boat in Graphic Design Style was born around twenty years ago, when the artist was living in Monaco. During that period, she was deeply inspired by the Monaco Classic Week, organized for its 700th anniversary, an event that left a lasting impression on her artistic vision.
This exhibition pays tribute to the timeless elegance of classic boats, reinterpreted through a clean, structured, and contemporary graphic language.
